Fiesta Days was this last weekend so we know that summer has officially started here in Canyon Lake. The next campout is Long Beach, if you haven't signed up yet Dennis Pitts says he can arrange a few more sites.
Bob Crachy and I have been busy putting together a GO-GO trip starting September 1st. The Go Go is a 17 day event with three places you can either join the party or leave. Color country, Utah, is the destination. Travel days are under 150 miles with some under 100 miles. The stopping points will usually be 2 or 3 days giving us time to explore the area and rest up for the next destination. Bob and I are planning on some memorable activities that you will not want to miss, such as: Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Capitol Reef, Canyon Lands, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, and Flagstaff. For the photographer there will be opportunities for some bucket list photos. The night skies will be dark and the stars will be bright, star gazing will be awsome. Hikes will accommodate all levels and fishing will be spectacular if you are so inclined. Native American pictographs and pectogylphs will be highlighted along with Condor roosting sites. Did I mention taveling with your friends? Ellen and I have been to all these destinations many times and we continue to revisit them. This fall we have three trips in the planning stages: Indio Tamale Festival, Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival and Pechanga. More information will be presented at the monthly meetings.
